Motorcyclists are most likely aware of both the movie Why We Ride and the Mimimoto USA Championship Series. What you probably don’t know – because it was just announced – is that the two have partnered to support youth racing during the 2014 season.

The goal of the partnership is to grow American road racing from the bottom up, supporting young riders through the development of riding skills and mental strategies for safe riding. All ten races of the series will be covered by the partnership, with special Why We Ride Championship Trophies awarded to each youth class winner at the Buttonwillow Raceway event on October 26, 2014.

Why We Ride Producer/Director Bryan H. Carroll said of this partnership: “Why We Ride has always been more than just a movie, it’s a lifestyle. Why We Ride is dedicated to inspiring, educating, and celebrating riders and their motorcycles. By partnering with Minimoto USA we plan on helping to solidify America’s road racing future by training future champions.”

The Minimoto USA racing organization operates ten races in the western United States, giving kids a place to race Minimoto, MiniGP and asphalt only Supermoto machines. Minimoto USA is recognized as the premier American Minimoto series.

Currently the #1 motorcycle movie worldwide, Why We Ride, recipient of both the 2014 Family Choice Award and the 2014 AMA Hazel Kolb Brighter Image Award, focuses on the role of family in motorcycling as a means of supporting and growing the sport of motorcycling.
