Ducati revealed an updated Diavel at an event hosted by parent company Volkswagen for the Geneva Motor Show.
The 2015 Ducati Diavel receives the latest dual-spark version of the company’s Testastretta 11° engine, most recently equipped on the new Monster 1200. New pistons increase the compression ratio to 12.5:1 from 11.5:1. The engine also has revised intake and exhaust ports and new cam timing which Ducati says improves torque at low revs.

Ducati claims an extra 2.2 ft-lb. in torque, claiming 96.2 ft-lb. from the new Diavel. Peak horsepower is 162 hp, the same as the last-generation Diavel, but it arrives at 9250 rpm instead of 9500 rpm with the previous engine.
Also new are the LED headlight and turn signals now matching the original Diavel’s LED taillight. The revised headlamp is now housed in a brushed aluminum outer-body that doesn’t stick out from the upper fork as much as the old light. New clear-lens LED front turn indicators are mounted in newly redesigned radiator covers.
Ducati updated the tank-mounted TFT screen that now includes an animated fuel gauge that flashes when the fuel in the 4.5-gallon drops below 0.3 gallons. Also new is the side-stand indicator to remind riders when the stand is deployed. As with the previous Diavel, the TFT screen also displays settings for ride mode and traction control. Other updates include a revised seat and bar-risers.
Ducati will produce two versions, the base Diavel in a Dark Stealth color with black frame, wheels and exhausts, and a Carbon version in Red Carbon with red frame or Star White with a white frame. The Carbon model also includes black forged aluminum Marchesini wheels and stainless steel exhausts.
U.S. pricing is $17,995 for the Diavel and $20,995 for the Carbon version.
