For 2014, Celtic Racing will continue fielding Corey Alexander in AMA SuperSport competition. Joining him will be new teammate, Wyatt Farris. The pair, with support from sponsor Hudson Valley Motorcycles, will be riding Suzuki GSX-R 600 motorcycles with help from Suzuki.

Orient Express and K-Tech Suspension will continue to provide technicians and valued trackside support for both riders, as they compete in the SuperSport class with Corey Alexander riding the #5 Suzuki GSX-R 600 that he used to win the 2013 AMA SuperSport East championship while finishing second overall. Wyatt Farris will ride the #19 Celtic/HVMC Suzuki GSX-R 600 in his return to the SuperSport class where he finished third in the West championship and fifth overall last season.

Richie Alexander and Barry Gilsenan have worked together for the past several seasons while Alexander was one of the managers of Michael Jordan Motorsports. In 2014, Alexander will step forward to a more visible roll running the newly formed Celtic/HVMC Suzuki team. Alexander has extensive experience in AMA Pro Road Racing, and vast relationships across the industry which he will put to use in this new position. “There are so many pieces in play this season, I am glad we were able to get a program together for Corey and Wyatt, and I really appreciate the trust Barry has placed in me. We have a great team, loaded with potential – which should translate into race results!” stated Alexander.

Sponsors for the team include: HVMC Racing, Suzuki, MJRS Freeman, Orient Express, Jon Block Group, Yoshimura R&D, Bazzaz, Gemini, K-Tech Suspension, Pitbull, Maxima Racing Oils, Galfer, Chicken Hawk, Motion Pro, Armour Bodies, Saddlemen, Star School, DesignStar3, Zero Gravity, Signs Ink, GB Racing, DID, and Vortex. The 2014 AMA Pro Road Racing SuperSport season begins with a return to Daytona International Speedway, March 14th through the 16th.

Troy's been riding motorcycles and writing about them since 2006, getting his start at Rider Magazine. From there, he moved to Sport Rider Magazine before finally landing at Motorcycle.com in 2011. A lifelong gearhead who didn't fully immerse himself in motorcycles until his teenage years, Troy's interests have always been in technology, performance, and going fast. Naturally, racing was the perfect avenue to combine all three. Troy has been racing nearly as long as he's been riding and has competed at the AMA national level. He's also won multiple club races throughout the country, culminating in a Utah Sport Bike Association championship in 2011. He has been invited as a guest instructor for the Yamaha Champions Riding School, and when he's not out riding, he's either wrenching on bikes or watching MotoGP.
