Nexx helmets gave us a chance to look over a pair of helmets in its booth at the American International Motorcycle Expo in Orlando, Fla. – the XR1R carbon full face and the X60 Vintage open face.

Designed and produced in Portugal. Nexx’s best selling helmet is the XR1R Carbon. Weighing in at just 1200 grams (2.65 pounds), Nexx says it is the lightest full face helmet available in the United States. Nexx boasts this helmet offers an unmatched view of the road ahead with more clearance left-to-right and top-to-bottom. All liners are removable and washable. As well, It is able to accept Pinlock – an anti-fog shield – so the helmet can be used in all conditions.

The stylish X60 Vintage is covered in leather and is available in five colors. Nexx says its small-profile design is ideal for scooters and cruisers. Liners are removable and washable. Several visor options are available. A quick-release buckle makes removing the helmet easy, even with a gloved hand.
