In July we reported on EBR teasing a new production model called the 1190RX. We didn’t know much about the bike but speculated it would be a toned down (read: more affordable) version of the 1190RS Superbike the team campaigns in AMA competition. Today, EBR has announced the 1190RX will officially be unveiled during the AIMExpo in Orlando, Florida, October 16.

A direct descendant of EBR’s race-bred limited edition 1190RS Super Bike, the 1190RX shares its sibling’s 1190cc engine and many of EBR’s exclusive performance and handling-enhancing features, like fuel in the frame and perimeter-style brakes. To keep costs down, don’t expect the use of exotic materials like carbon fiber fairings or forged aluminum wheels. Our guess is the 1190RX will fall more in line with contemporary literbike offerings as far as price is concerned.

The unveiling of the EBR 1190RX will take place in EBR’s booth number 1157 at the AIMExpo at 12:00 noon on October 16.
