Hall of Fame motocross champion Broc Glover needs your help. His 11 year-old son, Dayne, suffers from the progressively fatal disease cystic fibrosis, or CF. CF is a disease that gradually destroys the lungs but also affects the pancreas, liver and GI track. Currently CF has no cure but there are several daily treatments and medication that Dayne takes to improve his life. But since CF research receives no government funding Dayne’s future depends on fundraising events to further its research and help to find a cure.

On Saturday, September 14, 2013, Broc and his friends are putting together a CF Foundation fundraiser at the Del Mar Fairgrounds/Racetrack called the Breathe Easy Ride-In that is in conjunction with a weekend long motorcycling event known as the “Celebration of the Motorcycle.”

The day will include meeting many of motorcycle racing’s greatest legends such as 4-time World Road Racing Champion Eddie Lawson, World MX Champion Danny LaPorte, Hall of Fame Motocross/Supercross Champions Rick Johnson, David Bailey and Jeff Ward, plus many, many more. There’s even rumor that 1981 & ’82 World Speedway Champion and past CHiPS TV star Bruce Penhall is coming along with Red Bull New Year No Limits daredevil Robbie Maddison. There will also be auctions, raffles, food, music and cool bikes, plus the Red Bull Trials Performance show featuring 10-time AMA Trials Champion Geoff Aaron.

Troy's been riding motorcycles and writing about them since 2006, getting his start at Rider Magazine. From there, he moved to Sport Rider Magazine before finally landing at Motorcycle.com in 2011. A lifelong gearhead who didn't fully immerse himself in motorcycles until his teenage years, Troy's interests have always been in technology, performance, and going fast. Naturally, racing was the perfect avenue to combine all three. Troy has been racing nearly as long as he's been riding and has competed at the AMA national level. He's also won multiple club races throughout the country, culminating in a Utah Sport Bike Association championship in 2011. He has been invited as a guest instructor for the Yamaha Champions Riding School, and when he's not out riding, he's either wrenching on bikes or watching MotoGP.
