I love the look of the bike and own a 2009 1200 gs that I absolutely love. Technological gizzmology always makes me cautious even though it can be can be fun but what happens when that stuff wears out long before the rest of the bike? Before I bought a bmw I test rode a multistrada but was turned off by it’s too many guimicy technoloical “advances” and plasticy feel and went for the straight forward classic nature of the GS – Some times simple is the best – we’ll have to wait and see if all of this added stuff is truly is an improvement. Also, big thumbs down for the “conventional” indicators, I’ve ridden many different bikes and hate the hard to access, especially with heavy gloves or when clutching, indicators usually resulting in a horn blow or missed indicator attempt. I absolutely love the traditional BMW indicators, easy to use and after a day of riding (as a first time BMW rider) would never trade them again for the single “new” type – BMW what were you thinking changing a perfect ingenious design with a lesser design – just one guys opinion. O yeah – thanks for making such great bikes for all these years!
