Two-time AMA Sportbike Champion Danny Eslick has reportedly signed with Erik Buell Racing to ride the EBR 1190RS in the 2012 AMA Superbike Championship.

According to RoadRacingWorld, Eslick will join the already-signed Geoff May for a two-rider EBR team. RoadRacingWorld reports EBR has secured additional sponsorship, allowing the team to sign a second rider.

For Eslick, this would be a reunion, of sorts, with Erik Buell. Eslick won his first AMA Sportbike title in 2009 with the Geico RMR Buell team on the Buell 1125R. Eslick will reportedly now ride the 1125R’s spiritual successor, the EBR 1190RS.

Last season, Eslick captured his second AMA Sportbike title, with three wins for Geico RMR riding a Suzuki GSX-R600. Eslick also won the 2010 Vance & Hines XR1200 Championship. 2012 will mark Eslick’s first season in the AMA Superbike class.
