Yamaha is presenting a new electric scooter concept model at the Tokyo Motor Show in December. The Yamaha EC-Miu concept will debut alongside two other concepts, the XTW250 RYOKU and the Y125 MOEGI.

The Yamaha EC-Miu is an electric trike, with two wheels at the rear, a design choice Yamaha says makes for a “stable, easy ride that women will especially enjoy”. The styling is designed to evoke the flow of wind, and that is reflected in the floating windscreen, swirling spokes and the way the inwardly-pointing handlebars flow downwards and becoming the front “fork”.

Like the other two concept models, technical details are scarce but Yamaha does say the EC-Miu is designed for the 50cc scooter license class in Japan.

Love the Yamaha EC-Miu Scooter. It’s forwarding looking design, and it electric model is just the type of transportation for people making short trips and saving on gas and the envirnorment. My friend and myself living in the capital city of Sacramento would be very interest in becoming distributors for the product. We would target seniors and all other ages interested in bringing their transportation into the new age. Please respond as to how i can get more information on being a distributor. We very strongly believe that their would be a great market for it.

Hope to here from you soon.

    Sincerely Yours,
