Honda Canada revealed the new 2011 CBR250R last night, and from the looks of things, the Japanese manufacturer is expecting big things from its new entry level sportbike.
The new 2011 Honda CBR250R will be available both in Canada and the U.S. in Spring 2011 with an aggressive pricing plan that places the Kawasaki Ninja 250R directly in its sights.
Honda Canada has been offering the CBR125R for years and it has consistently been Honda’s top selling sportbike. Last night, Honda Canada invited CBR125R owners and a small group of journalists to see the new CBR250R and it’s clear Honda is banking on it being just as successful on the sales floor.

The U.S. unveiling will be held on Thursday and Motorcycle.com‘s Jeff Cobb will be there for a full, more detailed report. He’ll also have a chance to ride the bike next week so check back to read his impressions of the CBR250R.
Nimble, good looking, fuel injected, ABS as an option, I am seriously considering selling my Shadow VLX for one. Can’t wait to see this bike in person.
February 12th, 2011 at 8:06 pmI think it looks sharp sitting there. But when someone stands by it, its not beefy enough.
March 18th, 2011 at 10:37 pmI love it and I’m buying one… I just can’t understand why they didn’t make it look as nice as the Canadian 125r? That orange on the 125 kicks butt!
March 26th, 2011 at 4:25 amLooks like a bicycle, really. I dont own either but if I had to choose, I’d go Kawi Green all the way. Parallel twin and 32bhp as to a single 26bhp, no contest.
March 26th, 2011 at 11:14 amWell Honda, ya snooze ya lose. It is mid-May and still no bikes here in St. John’s Newfoundland. I sold my Shadow VLX and bought a left-over 2009 Kawasaki KLX250SF. Had the CBR250s been available in my local Honda Powerhouse showroom, I may not have gone for the 09 Kawi (which I got for a steal of a deal).

Looks like crap. I wouldn’t be caught in one. The old 125R looks million times better.
