Nothing says “Happy Non-Denominational Holiday” like an e-card from Ducati and the Italian motorcycle manufacturer is looking for somebody to design one.

The Ducati Greetings Contest is looking for contestants to design Ducati’s annual holiday greeting card. The winner will take home a top prize of 1,000 euros and the winning card will be used all over the world.

If you’re the creative type and could a few extra bucks, head over to, read the contest instructions then sign up and upload your design. Submissions will be accepted until December 9, 2010 and a winner will be chosen the following day.

I took delivery of my 848 EVO on 29 October 2010 and since then the bike has broken down twice. I have had 2 hours of riding time covering a total of 159 km and 8 hours broken down sitting on the side of the road. I have owned the bike for 26 days and it has been in Ducati Sandton’s workshop for 6 days. My first breakdown happened on Sunday 21 November 2010 when the Dashboard blacked out. The second breakdown occurred on 25 November when going from 2nd to 3rd gear the engine cut out with the Dashboard displaying “error PUMP”. A magnificent bike to look at but an absolute disaster on the road.
