It’s not often one of Motorcycle.com’s faithful servants makes it to the big time, so we were giddy with excitement to learn that a member of our editorial team has made an appearance in a major Hollywood blockbuster.

No, MO Editor in Chief Kevin Duke isn’t chasing bad guys in the latest action flick, but his Bluetooth headset is now a star.

Cardo Systems, Inc., the world’s market leader in wireless Bluetooth communications for motorcycle helmet headsets, has its scala rider Bluetooth headset featured in the movie, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. The scala rider headset is used by Shia LaBeouf to make and receive calls while riding his motorcycle around New York City.

We reviewed this communication device last year, which you can read about here. Now that it has gone Hollywood will it still take our calls?

My wife and I bought the above headsets last year and they have revolutionized our riding. They work very well (I was fearful of all sorts of frustrating glitches). I’m not terribly interested in taking calls when I’m on my bike (actually I ride my bike to get away from that sort of thing) but they do work well for that purpose. More importantly they are excellent as wireless bike to bike communication devices. It is such a pleasure to be able to ask my wife if she wants to pull over at the ice cream stand on the corner as we’re riding along, or to be able to point out that other bike passing by that I want to buy as my next ride :)
