QLINK is taking online shopping to a new level with their ‘Ready-to-Ride’ delivery service.

What is Ready-to-Ride delivery?

Well, QLINK’s online store allows you to buy their motorcycles right from your computer chair.  It’s pretty surreal to be able to add a motorcycle to your “cart” and proceed to the online check out.

After purchasing a motorcycle online, QLINK will look for a QLINK dealership in your area for you to be able to pickup your new bike.  If there’s no dealership nearby, QLINK will DELIVER the motorcycle to you in a giant crate!

That’s pretty mind blowing and a pretty awesome way to help out your customers.  The bike is fully tested before being shipped and in most cases requires no assembly from the rider (except maybe attaching the mirrors).  The battery is even juiced up and ready to go.

Kudos to QLINK for this pretty amazing service they provide.

Check the rest of the post for a few shots QLINK took of one of their motorcycles being crated up for delivery.  Check out their online store to witness the whole “add to cart” motorcycle shopping.

Dave Grohl Drums to the Sound of a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle

Bought his first motorcycle while in Nirvana

I’ve got a lot of respect for Dave Grohl.  He’s amazingly talented and very driven.  Even after Nirvana, the guy is still kicking and in the spotlight with the Foo Fighters and the millions of other side projects he’s done (ie: Queens of the Stone Age).

Apparently he’s also a big motorcycle guy.

Harley-Davidson did a little video on Dave, featuring him drumming on a snare drum to the exhaust pipes of a Harley-Davidson.  The seven minute video goes on about how Mr Grohl bought his first motorcycle when the Nirvana album “Nevermind” started to become big.

He got his wife hooked on motorcycles when she saw a Goldwing Trike, and now they both love the thing.

To hear (and see) all about Dave Grohl and his experiences with motorcycles (and how it helps him unwind), check out the rest of the post!

New 2010 Buell Blast has Impressive Specs

Now how do I ride this thing?

Buell is getting their priorities straight these days, and nothing says this more then their new 2010 Buell Blast (pictured above).

How do you ride that?

You don’t. Buell has deemed the Buell Blast as “cute”, which does not fit in with their drive towards making the best and fastest sportbikes out there.  And so they’ve crushed their remaining Buell Blasts and will try to ignore the bike ever existed (probably).

The Buell Blast was a cute little motorcycle. It just never made much of a sportbike. But, as luck would have it, it makes a killer ottoman. Or end table. Or art piece.

Believe it or not, Buell has submitted the New 2010 Buell Blast to Motorcycle.com’s own Specs tool, featuring specs and data on this fancy new Buell ottoman.

New 2010 Buell Blast Specs

See the rest of the post for the 2009 Buell Blast and then the crushed 2010 Buell Blast version.

Motorcycle communities are a huge resource for any kind of project or help you might need.  It’s incredible the amount of stuff people post and the effort they put into it!

arturo3rd on Kawiforums.com posted some great tips and photos on how to shave down your motorcycle seat for a more comfortable ride.

Things you’ll need:

  • flat screwdriver
  • pliers
  • sharp knife(steak)
  • rough grit sand paper
  • staple gun

I’m unsure if all motorcycle seats are made of the same material so be wary before you start if your motorcycle isn’t a Kawasaki.

Head over to the Kawiforums to see full instructions and pictures on how arturo3rd did it.  See the rest of the post for a few more pictures of the job.

Comic-Con has just finished up and tons of fun, geeky and crazy things have been announced.

A long long time ago we posted a very crappy version of the Tron 2 trailer that I believe was played at last year’s Comic-Con.  Well it’s officially been released to the public, and it looks pretty slick in glorious HD.

The new light cycles look and act amazing.  Kudos to Disney for keeping the same style of the bike but updating them for the modern audience.

The movie comes out in 2010 and on IMAX screens in 3D! Jeff Bridges is still the star and will probably kick ass.

Check the rest of the post for the crazy trailer.

The 2009 LA Calender Show was recently held in Southern California, marking it’s 20th year anniversary.  And what would a show celebrating babes and motorcycles be without babes and motorcycles?

Motorcycle.com’s Alfonse Palaima was there taking a boat-load of pictures, many of them featuring babes in bikinis (you lucky dog, you).

We’ve gathered a few motorcycle babe pics for your viewing pleasure, to help you get through Tuesday.

See the rest of the post for thumbnails.  Also check out the very large gallery over at Motorcycle.com for even MORE motorcycle girls and the crazy looking motorcycles that appeared at this event.  Don’t forget to check out Fonz’s 2009 LA Calendar Motorcycle Show Weekend write-up!

91 years of Up Hill Struggle and Billings Still Puts the Fans On Top

"Look up, look waaaaay up!" you'll play witness to a modern Sisyphean challenge.

The Great American Championship Motorcycle Hill Climb celebrates 91 years of up-hill history this weekend. For the greater part of a century riders have pitted themselves – and their machines – against physics and the all mighty hill. Modified motorcycles screaming “Yes, I Can!” with fully cranked wrists and open throttles spinning wildly up impossible terrain.

The few who make it look down on 420 feet of shale hill and near vertical climbs. For the greater sum of competitors it’s the inevitable fate of “what goes up, must come down”. Gravity grabs hold throwing rider and machine back to cold, hard earth.
