Easy Free Motorcycle Price Quote Directly from Dealers

Dealers compete on price - you save!!

Motorcycle.com keeps churning out the online tools to help you, the motorcycle community out.

This time they’ve released their free online motorcycle price quote tool that can get you quotes on bikes directly from motorcycle dealers.

Dang!

I’ve got to admit, the phone book scares me.  It’s big and heavy and yellow.  Then the calling.. oh the calling..  If you’re looking for a deal on a bike, tracking it down the old fashioned way will take you a Saturday afternoon or longer.

The Motorcycle.com Price Quote has the dealers coming to you with their best offers.  All ya do is pick out the bike you are looking for and what city you are in, and then wait for the emails or even phone calls from the dealers who can provide for you.

They’ve also conveniently put a “Get a Quote” button into the Motorcycle.com Specs bike listings to let you easily browse the tech specs on bike AND figure out how much you’d potentially pay for it at local dealers.

Not too shabby!

Check it out. You could find a great deal on your next bike.

Don’t forget, if you’re in the market for an older used bike, Motorcycle.com has a Classifieds section with private AND dealer listings of all kinds of bikes.  Check that one out too!

Michael Jackson was not known for riding motorcycles, he did own a 2001 Harley-Davidson that was on the action block earlier this year that was listed for $6,000 – $8,000, I never heard if it was sold or not.  We all have our different opinions about the mega pop star but we can all agree that he was larger than life and truly a boy in a mans body, case in point, take a look at the “Speed Demon” video that features Jackson on a bicycle, motorcycle and scooter, sort of…

The “Speed Demon” video is available after the jump.

Motorcycle Robot

Riders not wanted

Designed by Yutaka Igarashi, this yellow robot bike prototype runs on an electric motor and is controlled by high performance robots. The swinging boom the controls steering while hydraulic actuators balance the motorcycle.  Good luck keeping this up on its two wheels, especially after watching how difficult it was for Blue Team and the “Ghostrider” project.

Motorcycle Helmet Humidifier [video]

Need a little moisture in the air?

No joke, this is real product and can be yours for the bargain price of $34.00.  The motorcycle helmet shaped humidifier dimensions are 5.3 x 4.7 x 4.3 inches and weights just over half a pound, so it’s fairly compact and portable.  Some other cool features, it not only runs on batteries but has a USB option, uses cool ultrasonic waves so its safe and quiet and has a built in LED light to illuminate the water tank when its operating.

Watch it in action after the jump.

I do vaguely remember this 1991 musical/romance movie that starred Robert Matthew Van Winkle (aka Vanilla Ice), maybe I just buried it so far back in my subconscious that it just seems like a faded memory.  The movie is loosely based on the classic film Rebel Without a Cause, and I do mean loosely.  Cool as Ice, did win its share of awards and recognition but not of the positive variety.  It received an 8% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, made it to #7 on Blender’s worst performance by a musician turned actor and was nominated seven times at the 12th Golden Raspberry Awards.

Claiming to have raced in professional motocross, Vanilla Ice did all of the motorcycle stunts in the movie, so I guess he deserves some props but that’s hard to do when he proudly admits to coming up with a lot of the one liners, like, “Drop that zero and get with the hero.”

Honda’s New Documentary: Dreams vs Nightmares [trailer]

I think Clive Barker now works for Honda?

Honda have been releasing video documentaries on… well… everything!  Why?  Well to toot their own horn and remind you that Honda is crazy cool.

Actually, their videos aren’t that bad, although somewhat dramatic.  I hunkered down and watched their “Failure: The Secret to Success” video and it held my attention.

Their new video is titled “Dreams vs Nightmares”, which features a few notable people such as Clive Barker and Deepak Chopra.  I’m curious to see how they take this theme and use it to show how and why Honda creates and designs the products they make.

Interesting.

Check out the rest of the article for the trailer to “Dreams vs Nightmares”, debuting June 29th.  You can also head over to the Honda Dream website to check out the 3 already released movies
