“Jesse James is a Dead Man” Pre-Show Review

I give you my first impressions

Jesse James, the man behind Monster Garage, might die. But I doubt it. His new television show “Jesse James is a Douchebag Dead Man” is Jesse toying with death through a variety of different feats and stunts he will perform.

And by toying with death I mean he’ll be taking as many safety precautions as possible to make sure that death is not even in the equation. What does that spell? Well, I’m sure you’ll see some cool stuff like explosions and cars doing flips on the show but no real serious danger.

But hey, it’s TV, not a snuff film! I don’t know about you but after watching the “Making of a Dead Man” documentary on the show, I can’t help but roll my eyes. There seems to be a lot of hype on that show about things that just don’t impress me. It also seems that Jesse’s cast and crew think that pretty much everything will kill him.

The TV Network SPIKE will be airing Jesse’s new show starting on May 31st (this Sunday) for all who are interested in explosions and machismo. Probably the best way to watch it is with a bikini clad girl in one hand, and some NOS Energy Drink in the other while listening to Kid Rock. Extreme.

New Honda Fury TV Spot is Scary [Video]

This video almost gave me a seizure

Ok, it’s not THAT new… Somehow it slipped passed me back in April.  I guess I was too busy watching people do wheelies on scooters.

The new 2010 Honda Fury TV spot has a lot of quick edits of intense scenes including a shark jumping up at your face and various animals and people screaming at you.  Let’s not forget the dude getting punched in the face and people getting blown around by a tornado.

Ya, it’s INTENSE and kind of scary.  You don’t see too much of the bike except for it standing stationary near the end.

Hit the jump to check it out.  You might need a hug after watching it like I did.

That's entertainment!

Robbie Knievel will jump over 180 feet of Budweiser trucks in front of the Texas Capitol using a 1,000-foot ramp on Friday, June 12th at 11 pm at the ROT event in June. This will be Knievel’s first jump since New Years Eve in Las Vegas when he made a 200-foot jump over the newly renovated Mirage Hotel volcano, while it erupted.

The 15th annual biker rally will take place on June 11-14 in Austin, Texas. Last year 45,000 bikers took part in the parade and 200,000 visited Austin during the event, which makes it the 5th largest rally of any kind in America.

Top 5 Motorcycle Helmets From J.D. Power

Useful info for buying a new helmet

J.D. Power and Associates who do independent and unbiased surveys and polls have gathered information on customer satisfaction of motorcycle helmets.

The study measures the overall satisfaction of motorcyclists with their new helmet in three key factors: ventilation, face shield, and design and styling; which consist of 11 attributes: quietness; ventilation/air flow; de-fogging; face shield ability to keep wind out; face shield ability to resist scratching; ease of replacing face shield; scratch resistance of shell; color/graphic design; weight; ease of fastening the strap; and fit and comfort.

Interesting.  This is an excellent buying tip for those of you who need new helmets.  So who won?

Arai pulled ahead scoring 830 points on a 1,000 point scale (that’s a lot of points).

If you are shopping for a helmet, we recommend picking up a full face helmet as it can protect your pretty smile from flying debris on the road.  Also note that in a crash a helmet improves your chance of survival by 37% so WEAR ONE!

Head to Motorcycle.com’s Motorcycle Rider Safety and Training section for more tips.

Updated:  Re-ordered for awesomeness!

That Bike is Smokin’ [video]

Smoking ban inspiration?

Inventor and environment activist, M.K. Sudhakar from India, has created this cigarette motorcycle to show his support for India’s recent public smoking ban. I don’t know what the connection is but it does attract a lot of attention anyway, not to mention the spelling mistake, habbit?…

Check out the video after the jump.
