Eduardo S. Cordero III, 22, allegedly robbed three Sierra Vista men at gunpoint in Tucson. Cordero advertised a Suzuki GSX-R motorcycle that evidently didn’t exist, on Craigslist for $4,000 and lured the buyers in by taking $500 off the listed price.

After the buyers arranged a meeting place with Cordero and showed up with the cash to purchase the bike, Cordero and an accomplice robbed the victims, armed with hand guns. Not only did they take all of the money, they stole any valuable personal items they had on them too. Thankfully, none of the victims were physically harmed during the robbery.

Cordero allegedly used Craigslist to pull off another cash rip-off in San Antonio according to the San Antonio Express-News but won’t be pulling off any scams from where he is living now. Cordero is currently residing in the Bexar County Jail in San Antonio on $175,000 bail.

Too bad. Had a great experience on Craig’s list last March. Bought a 1985 BMW R80, mint for less than $3000. Needed front fork rebuild, master cylinder rebuild, but other than that, runs cherry. Lovely bike, nice folks, excellent transaction. Use common sense, and meet where there are people! Great deals there, but so are bad people.
