"Bikers on Parade" riding for Veteran's Day

I have to admit, I am a sucker for world record attempts. Normally simply a source of entertainment, this one actually has a meaning. The mission for “Bikers on Parade for the USA” is a world record attempt for the “Guinness World Records” to become the largest and longest Veteran’s Day motorcycle parade in the USA in a 23-mile non-stop parade. In addition to remembering the veterans who served in the great wars, the event will also salute and honor law enforcement, firefighters and rescue personal in remembrance of 9/11.

This will be their 8th annual parade and so far they have raised over $300,000, which goes to benefit the North Central Florida Chapter of the American Red Cross and local Veteran Organizations. It will take place in Gainesville, FL on Sunday November 9th starting at 9AM at Santa Fe College. The registration is $25 per rider and $15 per passenger. On-line registration is closed now so the only way to register now is in person. Strengthen the fabric of our nation and break a record in the process.
